Some of the most meaningful gifts never come in the form of a check.
In-kind donations of physical goods, supplies, and resources directly stock our programs and reach the hands of those we serve.
Whether you’re refreshing your closet, organizing your pantry, or purchasing new essentials for a family in need, your generosity makes a direct and immediate difference.
Items Most Needed
We gratefully accept new or gently used items that are clean, in good condition, and free of damage. Donated items are distributed to our local community programs or our Hayti operations based on current needs.
Non-Perishable Food
- Canned goods such as vegetables, beans, fruits, soups, and proteins
- Dry staples such as rice, pasta, oats, flour, cornmeal, and pancake mix
- Cereal
- Peanut butter
- Sealed cooking oils and condiments
- Coffee and hot chocolate
- Shelf-stable juice
- Granola bars, crackers, and non-perishable snacks
- Baby food and formula
Food Safety Rule: All food donations must be commercially sealed, unexpired, and in undamaged packaging. No homemade, opened, or expired food items.
Baby & Infant Supplies
- Diapers (all sizes), wipes, and diaper rash cream
- Formula and baby food (unopened)
- Bottles, sippy cups, bibs, and feeding sets
- Baby blankets
- Maternity and postpartum supplies
- High chairs, bouncers, and strollers, playpens and pack-n-plays (gently used, fully functional, all parts included)
- Bottle warmers, monitors, bathtubs (gently used, fully functional, all parts included)
- Breast pumps (new in original packaging only)
Safety Rule: All baby equipment must include original parts and hardware. Items subject to product recall will not be accepted. Donors may verify recall status at cpsc.gov prior to donation. We cannot accept car seats, used breast pumps, or recalled items.
School Supplies & Books
School Supplies
- Backpacks in good condition
- Notebooks, folders, binders, composition books
- Pencils, pens, crayons, markers, highlighters
- Erasers, rulers, scissors, and pencil cases
- Glue, tape, art supplies
Books
- Children’s and youth books in Kreyòl (Haitian Creole), French, and/or English
- Educational and culturally diverse titles
Books Rule: Books must be in good readable condition with no missing pages, heavy markings, or water damage.
Hygiene & Personal Care
- Feminine hygiene products
- Deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Lotion, lip balm, skincare
- Shaving essentials
- Travel-size toiletry kits;
- Reusable water bottles and thermal mugs.
Hygiene Rule: All items must be new, commercially sealed, and unexpired. No opened or used products.
Clothing & Apparel
- Children’s and youth clothing (all ages, sizes, seasons)
- Infant and toddler clothing
- School-appropriate tops, bottoms, outerwear
- Shoes in good condition
- Socks and new undergarments (must be in original packaging)
- Pajamas and casual wear.
Clothing Rule: Clothing must be clean, free of stains, tears, or odors. Socks and undergarments must be new and in original packaging.
Celebration & Birthday Supplies
- New journals, mugs, and gift items for teens;
- Gift wrap and bags;
- Small new toys and age-appropriate gifts
- Unused, loaded gift cards of any kind (major retailers, restaurants, or general-use Visa/Mastercard).
Note: Please include the original receipt showing active balance if possible. No expired or zero-balance cards.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
We cannot accept:
- mattresses, large furniture, large appliances, car seats, or used breast pumps
- used underwear or socks.
- All food, hygiene, and personal care items must be new, sealed, and unexpired.
- Gently used items must be clean and fully functional.
- Baby equipment is subject to recall verification at cpsc.gov.
- We cannot pick up items at this time.
- We reserve the right to decline items that don’t meet current program needs or quality standards.

You may also be eligible to claim a tax deduction for the fair market value of donated items. We provide a written acknowledgment for your records. Please consult a tax advisor regarding your situation.
